معلوم نہیں کیا ہوا کہ جنس محبت پہ حاوی ہو گئی

گویا محبت ہار گئی اور جنس جیت گئی

جو ہاتھ ہاتھ میں پیوست ہو سکتے تھے

وہ ہاتھ کہاں ہیں

جو ہاتھ کو تھامے کچھ دور چل سکتے تھے

کیا ان ہاتھوں کو توڑ دیا گیا

وہ ہاتھ کہاں گئے جو نظم لکھتے تھے

وہ ہاتھ کہاں گئے جو آسمان کو زمین پر اتار سکتے تھے

کون کب کہاں

پھینکا گیا

اور اب تو جگنوؤں سے بھرے جنگل میں ماں اکیلی ہے

ایک جگنو بھی نہیں جو روشنی کو حصار کرے

اور ماں کو اس کے جلو میں لے آئے

اب اتنا سمے نہیں کہ

آسماں یا زمیں اسے بوسہ دیں
