جنگل جنگل آگ لگی ہے بستی بستی ویراں ہے

کھیتی کھیتی راکھ اڑتی ہے دنیا ہے کہ بیاباں ہے

سناٹے کی ہیبت نے سانسوں میں پکاریں بھر دی ہیں

ذہنوں میں مبہوت خیالوں نے تلواریں بھر دی ہیں

قدم قدم پر جھلسے جھلسے خواب پڑے ہیں راہوں میں

صبح کو جیسے کالے کالے دئیے عبادت گاہوں میں

ایک اک سنگ میل میں کتنی آنکھیں ہیں پتھرائی ہوئی

ایک اک نقش قدم میں کتنی رفتاریں کفنائی ہوئی

ہم سفرو اے ہم سفرو کچھ اور بھی نزدیک آ کے چلو

جب چلنا ہی مقدر ٹھہرا ہاتھ میں ہاتھ ملا کے چلو
