تجھے اظہار محبت سے اگر نفرت ہے

تو نے ہونٹوں کو لرزنے سے تو روکا ہوتا

بے نیازی سے مگر کانپتی آواز کے ساتھ

تو نے گھبرا کے مرا نام نہ پوچھا ہوتا

تیرے بس میں تھی اگر مشعل جذبات کی لو

تیرے رخسار میں گلزار نہ بھڑکا ہوتا

یوں تو مجھ سے ہوئیں صرف آب و ہوا کی باتیں

اپنے ٹوٹے ہوئے فقروں کو تو پرکھا ہوتا

یوں ہی بے وجہ ٹھٹکنے کی ضرورت کیا تھی

دم رخصت میں اگر یاد نہ آیا ہوتا

تیرا غماز بنا خود ترا انداز خرام

دل نہ سنبھلا تھا تو قدموں کو سنبھالا ہوتا

اپنے بدلے مری تصویر نظر آ جاتی

تو نے اس وقت اگر آئنہ دیکھا ہوتا

حوصلہ تجھ کو نہ تھا مجھ سے جدا ہونے کا

ورنہ کاجل تری آنکھوں میں نہ پھیلا ہوتا
