یوم مزاجی یاروں کی

سب میری دیکھی بھالی

رات کی تاریکی میں

ان کی انگارہ سی آنکھیں

پوری

دن کو اندھی اور ادھوری

خالی

دن کے یہ درویش مگر راتوں کے والی

اپنے محسن کو جب

دن کے آئینے میں دیکھیں

فرط ادب سے سمٹیں سکڑیں جھک جائیں

اور کچلے مسئلے روندے لہجے میں پوچھیں

کیسا ہے مزاج عالی

رات کو لیکن

پیار کا رستہ کاٹ کے نکلیں

جیسے بلی کالی

ان کی ہے بس ایک نشانی
