کہ دل جو روئے تو کم بخت ہنسنے لگتی ہیں

تمہارے شہر سے چلیے کہ تنگ دستی نے

تمہارے شہر کی گلیاں بھی تنگ کر دی ہیں

یہ ہم ہیں بے ہنراں دیکھیے ہنر مندی

جو کوئی کام کریں ہم تو پوریں جلتی ہیں

نہ اس کا وصل ملا اور نہ روزگار یہاں

سو پہلے ہجر زدہ تھے اور اب کے ہجرتی ہیں

تو شاہ زادی کو لائیں وہ محو خواب ہے کیا

ہمیں یقیں نہیں پریاں بھی جھوٹ بولتی ہیں
