یہ تلاش صبح نو میں کبھی ہم سفر تھے میرے

تھیں جو قتل گاہیں ان کی ہیں وہی قیام گاہیں

تھے جو رہزنوں کے مسکن ہیں وہ رہبروں کے ڈیرے

میں جہان بے دلی میں کہاں لے کے جاؤں دل کو

مرے دل کی گھات میں ہیں یہاں چار سو لٹیرے

اے شبوں کے پاسبانوں میں یہ تم سے پوچھتا ہوں

جنہیں پوجتے رہے ہو وہ کہاں گئے سویرے

ارے میں تو بے نوا ہوں جو کبھی نہ بک سکے گا

ارے تم سنار ہو کر یہاں بن گئے کسیرے
