دن کو رہتے جھیل پر دریا کنارے رات کو

یاد رکھنا چاند تارو اس ہماری بات کو

اب کہاں وہ محفلیں ہیں اب کہاں وہ ہم نشیں

اب کہاں سے لائیں ان گزرے ہوئے لمحات کو

پڑ چکی ہیں اتنی گرہیں کچھ سمجھ آتا نہیں

کیسے سلجھائیں بھلا الجھے ہوئے حالات کو

کتنی طوفانی تھیں راتیں جن میں دو دیوانے دل

تھپکیاں دیتے رہے بھڑکے ہوئے جذبات کو

درد میں ڈوبی ہوئی لے بن گئی ہے زندگی

بھول جاتے کاش ہم الفت بھرے نغمات کو

وہ کہ اپنے پیار کی تھی بھیگی بھیگی ابتدا

یاد کر کے رو دیا دل آج اس برسات کو
