سعیٔ ناکام سہی پھر بھی کوئی کام تو ہے

دل کی بیتابی کا آخر کہیں انجام تو ہے

میری قسمت میں نہیں دہر میں آرام تو ہے

مائل لطف و کرم حسن دل آرام تو ہے

میری خاطر نہ سہی کوئی سر بام تو ہے

تو نہیں میرا مسیحا مرا قاتل ہی سہی

مجھ سے وابستہ کسی طور ترا نام تو ہے

حلقۂ موج میں اک اور سفینہ آیا

ساحل بحر پہ کہرام کا ہنگام تو ہے

تنگ‌ دستو تہی دامانو کرو شکر خدا

مئے گلفام نہیں ہے شفق شام تو ہے
