غم حیات میں کوئی کمی نہیں آئی

نظر فریب تھی تیری جمال آرائی

وہ داستاں جو تری دل کشی نے چھیڑی تھی

ہزار بار مری سادگی نے دہرائی

فسانے عام سہی میری چشم حیراں کے

تماشا بنتے رہے ہیں یہاں تماشائی

تری وفا تری مجبوریاں بجا لیکن

یہ سوزش غم ہجراں یہ سرد تنہائی

کسی کے حسن تمنا کا پاس ہے ورنہ

مجھے خیال جہاں ہے نہ خوف رسوائی

میں سوچتا ہوں زمانے کا حال کیا ہوگا

اگر یہ الجھی ہوئی زلف تو نے سلجھائی

کہیں یہ اپنی محبت کی انتہا تو نہیں

بہت دنوں سے تری یاد بھی نہیں آئی
