شہر کو چھوڑ دو اور گاؤں کو جاؤ تم بھی
اس تعلق کے تکلف کو اٹھاؤ تم بھی
آگ جنگل میں بھڑک جائے گی کل شام تلک
آج بادل کو اداؤں سے لبھاؤ تم بھی
دوسرے چہرے مجھے کم ہیں رفاقت کے لیے
میری خاطر کوئی چہرہ تو سجاؤ تم بھی
میں کہیں سبزۂ خود رو کی طرح اگ آؤں
اور وہیں پھول کی صورت نکل آؤ تم بھی
میرے ہاتھوں میں ترے نام کی کوئی ریکھا
تیرے ہاتھوں میں نہ آئی ہو دکھاؤ تم بھی
چاند کو روک دیا میں نے ان ہاتھوں میں سہیلؔ
تم مجھے روک لو جادو یہ دکھاؤ تم بھی

dusre chehre mujhe kam hain rifaqat ke liye
meri KHatir koi chehra to sajao tum bhi
main kahin sabza-e-KHud-rau ki tarah ug aaun
aur wahin phul ki surat nikal aao tum bhi
mere hathon mein tere nam ki koi rekha
tere hathon mein na aai ho dikhao tum bhi
chand ko rok diya main ne in hathon mein 'suhail'
tum mujhe rok lo jadu ye dikhao tum bhi
