یہ ٹھیک ہے کہ بہت وحشتیں بھی ٹھیک نہیں

مگر ہماری ذرا عادتیں بھی ٹھیک نہیں

اگر ملو تو کھلے دل کے ساتھ ہم سے ملو

کہ رسمی رسمی سی یہ چاہتیں بھی ٹھیک نہیں

تعلقات میں گہرائیاں تو اچھی ہیں

کسی سے اتنی مگر قربتیں بھی ٹھیک نہیں

دل و دماغ سے گھایل ہیں تیرے ہجر نصیب

شکستہ در بھی ہیں ان کی چھتیں بھی ٹھیک نہیں

قلم اٹھا کے چلو حال دل ہی لکھ ڈالو

کہ رات دن کی بہت فرقتیں بھی ٹھیک نہیں

تم اعتبارؔ پریشاں بھی ان دنوں ہو بہت

دکھائی پڑتا ہے کچھ صحبتیں بھی ٹھیک نہیں
