گھوم پھر کر اسی کوچے کی طرف آئیں گے

دل سے نکلے بھی اگر ہم تو کہاں جائیں گے

ہم کو معلوم تھا یہ وقت بھی آ جائے گا

ہاں مگر یہ نہیں سوچا تھا کہ پچھتائیں گے

یہ بھی طے ہے کہ جو بوئیں گے وہ کاٹیں گے یہاں

اور یہ بھی کہ جو کھوئیں گے وہی پائیں گے

کبھی فرصت سے ملو تو تمہیں تفصیل کے ساتھ

امتیاز ہوس و عشق بھی سمجھائیں گے

کہہ چکے ہم ہمیں اتنا ہی فقط کہنا تھا

آپ فرمائیے کچھ آپ بھی فرمائیں گے

ایک دن خود کو نظر آئیں گے ہم بھی اجملؔ

ایک دن اپنی ہی آواز سے ٹکرائیں گے
