اختر ہوشیارپوری

وہ جو دیوار آشنائی تھی

اپنی ہی ذات کی اکائی تھی

میں سر دشت جاں تھا آوارہ

اور گھر میں بہار آئی تھی

میلے کپڑوں کا اپنا رنگ بھی تھا

پھر بھی قسمت میں جگ ہنسائی تھی

اب تو آنکھوں میں اپنا چہرہ ہے

کبھی شیشے سے آشنائی تھی

اپنی ہی ذات میں تھا میں محفوظ

اور پھر خود ہی سے لڑائی تھی

اپنی آواز سے بھی ڈرتا تھا

ہائے کیا چیز آشنائی تھی

زندگی گرد گرد تھی اخترؔ

جانے لٹ کر کہاں سے آئی تھی
