سر میں سودائے وفا رکھتے ہیں

ہم بھی اس عہد میں کیا رکھتے ہیں

واسطہ جس کا ترے غم سے نہ ہو

ہم وہ ہر کام اٹھا رکھتے ہیں

بن کھلی ایک کلی پہلو میں

ہم بھی اے باد صبا رکھتے ہیں

بت کدہ والو تمہیں کچھ بولو

وہ تو چپ ہیں جو خدا رکھتے ہیں

غیرت عشق کوئی راہ نکال

ظلم وہ سب پہ روا رکھتے ہیں

کیا سلیقہ ہے ستم گاری کا

رخ پہ دامان حیا رکھتے ہیں

چارہ سازان زمانہ اے دل

زہر دیتے ہیں دوا رکھتے ہیں

نغمۂ شوق ہو یا نالۂ دل

درد مندانہ صدا رکھتے ہیں

دل کی تعمیر کو ڈھا کر اخترؔ

وہ محبت کی بنا رکھتے ہیں
