اپنی اور میری جوانی کو نہ برباد کرو

شرم رونے بھی نہ دے بیکلی سونے بھی نہ دے

اس طرح تو مری راتوں کو نہ برباد کرو

حد ہے پینے کی کہ خود پیر مغاں کہتا ہے

اس بری طرح جوانی کو نہ برباد کرو

یاد آتے ہو بہت دل سے بھلانے والو

تم ہمیں یاد کرو تم ہمیں کیوں یاد کرو

آسماں رتبہ محل اپنے بنانے والو

دل کا اجڑا ہوا گھر بھی کوئی آباد کرو

ہم کبھی آئیں ترے گھر مگر آئیں گے ضرور

تم نے یہ وعدہ کیا تھا کہ نہیں یاد کرو

چاندنی رات میں گل گشت کو جب جاتے تھے

آہ عذرا کبھی اس وقت کو بھی یاد کرو

میں بھی شائستۂ الطاف ستم ہوں شاید

میرے ہوتے ہوئے کیوں غیر پہ بیداد کرو

صدقے اس شوخ کے اخترؔ یہ لکھا ہے جس نے

عشق میں اپنی جوانی کو نہ برباد کرو
