آگہی ، تجربے ، خوش فہمیاں ، امید نئی

کیا سے کیا کچھ نہ مجھے ترکِ سکونت سے ملا

کتنا مکروہ لگا قیمتی ملبوس اس کا

ایک نادار سے جو شخص کراہت سے ملا

فکر و تحقیق و طلب اور عمل کو چھوڑیں

وہ دکھائیں کہ خدا جس کو عبادت سے ملا

دسترس میں جو نظر آیا تھا پہلے پہلے

وہ خزانہ مجھے برسوں کی ریاضت سے ملا

دیکھنا چھین بھی سکتا ہوں اسے آپ سے میں

تاجِ سلطانی اگر میری حمایت سے ملا

وہ جو مشکل سے لگا ہاتھ ، لگایا دل سے

کھو دیا میں نے بھی جاذب جو سہولت سے ملا
