ہراساں ہوں سیاہی میں کمی ہوتی نہیں ہے

چراغاں کر رہا ہوں روشنی ہوتی نہیں ہے

بہت چاہا کہ آنکھیں بند کر کے میں بھی جی لوں

مگر مجھ سے بسر یوں زندگی ہوتی نہیں ہے

لہو کا ایک اک قطرہ پلاتا جا رہا ہوں

اگرچہ خاک میں پیدا نمی ہوتی نہیں ہے

دریچوں کو کھلا رکھتا ہوں میں ہر وقت لیکن

ہوا میں پہلے جیسی تازگی ہوتی نہیں ہے

میں رشوت کے مسائل پر نمازیں پڑھ نہ پایا

بدی کے ساتھ مجھ سے بندگی ہوتی نہیں ہے

میں اپنے عہد کی تصویر ہر پل کھینچتا ہوں

غلط ہے سوچنا یہ شاعری ہوتی نہیں ہے

برا ہے دشمنی سے آشنا ہونا بھی عالمؔ

کسی سے اب ہماری دوستی ہوتی نہیں ہے
