مرے حصار سے باہر بلا رہا ہے مجھے

کوئی حسین سا منظر بلا رہا ہے مجھے

جہاں مقیم تھا میں ایک اجنبی کی طرح

وہی مکان اب اکثر بلا رہا ہے مجھے

جو تھک کے بیٹھ گیا ہوں میں بیچ رستے میں

تو اب وہ میل کا پتھر بلا رہا ہے مجھے

ہوا ہے تشنہ لبی سے معاہدہ میرا

عبث ہی روز سمندر بلا رہا ہے مجھے

بجھا دئے ہیں اسی نے کئی چراغ مرے

جو ایک شمع جلا کر بلا رہا ہے مجھے

وہ جانتا ہے میں اس کے ستم کا خوگر ہوں

سو بار بار ستم گر بلا رہا ہے مجھے

بلا رہا ہے تو کھل کر کبھی بلائے وہ

بس اک اشارے سے اکثر بلا رہا ہے مجھے

دیار غیر میں رہتا ہوں میں مگر عالمؔ

ہر ایک لمحہ مرا گھر بلا رہا ہے مجھے
