تو پیمبر سہی یہ معجزہ کافی تو نہیں

شاعری زیست کے زخموں کی تلافی تو نہیں

سایۂ گل میں ذرا دیر جو سستائے ہیں

سایۂ دار سے یہ وعدہ خلافی تو نہیں

اپنی دنیا سے ملی فرصت یک جست ہمیں

آسماں کے لیے اک جست ہی کافی تو نہیں

کسی چڑھتے ہوئے سورج کی پرستش نہ کرو

دیکھ لو اس میں کوئی شعبدہ بافی تو نہیں

تشنگی ہم کو ملی تم ہوئے سیراب تو کیا

ان مقدر کی سزاؤں سے معافی تو نہیں

دیو مالا کا دھندلکا ہو کہ خوابوں کی کرن

آج کی آئینہ سازی کی منافی تو نہیں

خواب ٹکراؤ حقیقت سے کہ شعلے نکلیں

اس اندھیرے میں دیا ایک ہی کافی تو نہیں
