صحراؤں کی پیاس بجھانے

کب آئے برسات نہ جانے

مجھ کو میری یاد دلانے

آئے ہیں کچھ دوست پرانے

جانے گھر کس کس کے جلیں گے

نکلے ہیں وہ جشن منانے

خوابوں کی وادی میں ملے ہیں

بیتے لمحے گزرے زمانے

وقت کے ٹوٹے آئینے میں

چہرے ہیں سب جانے پہچانے

تم سے ملے تو یاد آیا ہے

دیکھے تھے کچھ خواب سہانے

رات کی بانہوں میں کھلتے ہیں

تیری یادوں کے میخانے

امیدیں گھر چھوڑ چکی تھیں

کب آئے ہیں ہوش ٹھکانے

دشت کی جلتی ریت پہ خسروؔ

وقت لکھے گا اپنے فسانے

kab aae barsat na jaane

mujh ko meri yaad dilane
aae hain kuchh dost purane

jaane ghar kis kis ke jalenge
nikle hain wo jashn manane

KHwabon ki wadi mein mile hain
bite lamhe guzre zamane

waqt ke TuTe aaine mein
chehre hain sab jaane pahchane

tum se mile to yaad aaya hai
dekhe the kuchh KHwab suhane

raat ki banhon mein khulte hain
teri yaadon ke maiKHane

ummiden ghar chhoD chuki thin
kab aae hain hosh Thikane

dasht ki jalti ret pe 'KHusraw'
waqt likhega apne fasane
