کوئی خوشی نہ کوئی رنج مستقل ہوگا

فنا کے رنگ سے ہر رنگ متصل ہوگا

عجب ہے عشق عجب تر ہیں خواہشیں اس کی

کبھی کبھی تو بچھڑنے تلک کو دل ہوگا

بدن میں ہو تو گلہ کیا تماش بینی کا

یہاں تو روز تماشا و آب و گل ہوگا

ابھی تو اور بھی چہرے تمہیں پکاریں گے

ابھی وہ اور بھی چہروں میں منتقل ہوگا

زیاں مزید ہے اسباب ڈھونڈھتے رہنا

ہوا ہے جو وہ نہ ہونے پہ مشتمل ہوگا

تمام رات بھٹکتا پھرا ہے سڑکوں پر

ہوئی ہے صبح ابھی شہر مضمحل ہوگا
