زندہ ہے ایک یاد جو مرتی چلی گئی

تھی زندگی کی مثل شب ہجر دوستو

اور زندگی کی مثل گزرتی چلی گئی

ہم سے یہاں تو کچھ بھی سمیٹا نہ جا سکا

ہم سے ہر ایک چیز بکھرتی چلی گئی

آئے تھے چند زخم گزرگاہ وقت پر

گزری ہوائے وقت تو بھرتی چلی گئی

اک اشک قہقہوں سے گزرتا چلا گیا

اک چیخ خامشی میں اترتی چلی گئی

ہر رنگ ایک رنگ سے ہم رنگ ہو گیا

تصویر زندگی کی ابھرتی چلی گئی
