وہ اپنے بند قبا کھولتی تو کیا لگتی

خدا کے واسطے کوئی کہے خدا لگتی

یقین تھی تو یقیں میں سما گئی کیسے

گمان تھی تو گماں سے بھی ماورا لگتی

اگر بکھرتی تو سورج کبھی نہیں اگتا

ترا خیال کہ وہ زلف بس گھٹا لگتی

ترے مریض کو دنیا میں کچھ نہیں لگتا

دوا لگے نہ رقیبوں کی بد دعا لگتی

ہوئی ہے قید زمانہ میں روشنی کس سے

بھلا وہ جسم اور اس کو کوئی قبا لگتی

لگی وہ تجھ سی تو عالم میں منفرد ٹھہری

وگرنہ عام سی لگتی اگر جدا لگتی
