کھیل اس نے دکھا کے جادو کے

میری سوچوں کے قافلے لوٹے

یا تو دھڑکن ہی بند ہو جائے

یا یہ خاموشیٔ فضا ٹوٹے

تم جہاں بھی ہو میرے دل میں ہو

تم مرے پاس تھے تو ہر سو تھے

نغمۂ گل کی باس آتی ہے

تار کس نے ہلائے خوشبو کے

اس کو لائیں تو ایک بات بھی ہے

ورنہ سب دوست آشنا جھوٹے

نخل امید سبز ہے امجدؔ

لاکھ جھکڑ چلا کئے لو کے
