سائے ڈھلنے چراغ جلنے لگے

سائے ڈھلنے چراغ جلنے لگے

لوگ اپنے گھروں کو چلنے لگے

اتنی پر پیچ ہے بھنور کی گرہ

جیسے نفرت دلوں میں پلنے لگے

دور ہونے لگی جرس کی صدا

کارواں راستے بدلنے لگے

اس کے لہجے میں برف تھی لیکن

چھو کے دیکھا تو ہاتھ جلنے لگے

اس کے بند قبا کے جادو سے

سانپ سے انگلیوں میں چلنے لگے

راہ گم کردہ طائروں کی طرح

پھر ستارے سفر پہ چلنے لگے

پھر نگاہوں میں دھول اڑتی ہے

عکس پھر آئنے بدلنے لگے
