کیا بلا شہر پہ ٹوٹی ہے خدا خیر کرے

یوں سر شام کوئی دشت بھی ویران نہ ہو

رنگ خوشبو سے جدا ہو تو بکھر جاتا ہے

دیکھنے والے مرے حال پہ حیران نہ ہو

بات بنتی ہے تو پھر آپ ہی بن جاتی ہے

اتنی مایوس مقدر سے مری جان نہ ہو

سیکھ اس شہر میں جینے کا سلیقہ امجدؔ

کوئی مرتا ہے مرے، آپ کا نقصان نہ ہو
