کس قدر یادیں ابھر آئی ہیں تیرے نام سے

ایک پتھر پھینکنے سے پڑ گئے کتنے بھنور

وقت کے اندھے کنوئیں میں پل رہی ہے زندگی

اے مرے حسن تخیل بام سے نیچے اتر

تو اسیر آبروئے شیوۂ پندار حسن

میں گرفتار نگاہ زندگیٔ مختصر

ضبط کے قریے میں امجدؔ دیکھیے کیسے کٹے

سوچ کی سونی سڑک پر یاد کا لمبا سفر
