بیچ کر اپنی عمر بھر کی خوشی

پھر کہیں جا کے غم خریدا ہے

اشک آنکھوں سے سب نچوڑے ہیں

ایک بس حرفِ نم خریدا ہے

بیچ کر اپنے آپ کو جاناں

تجھ کو تیری قسم خریدا ہے

ہم بھی اب صاحب الم ٹھہرے

ہم نے بھی اک صنم خریدا ہے

ہمقدم جس کے ہو نہیں پائے

اس کا نقشِ قدم خریدا ہے

اور وہ بدگماں ہوئے انصر

جب سے ہم نے بھرم خریدا ہے
