تو نے جلدی میں ذرا خاک اڑائی بھائی
آخر کار کوئی عذر اسے مل ہی گیا
یہ محبت بھی کسی کام نہ آئی بھائی
میں ہوں کونے میں پڑا ٹوٹا ہوا کنگن اور
زندگی ایک حسینہ کی کلائی بھائی
تب مرا سارا بدن کان میں تبدیل ہوا
جب کسی نے مجھے آواز لگائی بھائی
اول اول یہ زمیں ٹھہری رہی ایک جگہ
پھر کسی آنکھ نے پتلی تھی گھمائی بھائی

awwal awwal ye zamin Thahri rahi ek jagah
phir kisi aankh ne putli thi ghumai bhai
