اشفاق حسین
ہنگام شب و روز میں الجھا ہوا کیوں ہوں
دریا ہوں تو پھر راہ میں ٹھہرا ہوا کیوں ہوں
کیوں میری جڑیں جا کے زمیں سے نہیں ملتیں
گملے کی طرح صحن میں رکھا ہوا کیوں ہوں
اس گھر کے مکینوں کا رویہ بھی تو دیکھوں
تزئین در و بام میں کھویا ہوا کیوں ہوں
گرتی نہیں کیوں مجھ پہ کسی زخم کی شبنم
میں قافلۂ درد سے بچھڑا ہوا کیوں ہوں
آنکھوں پہ جو اترا نہ ہوا دل پہ جو تحریر
اس خواب کی تعبیر سے سہما ہوا کیوں ہوں
دن بھر کے جھمیلوں سے بچا لایا تھا خود کو
شام آتے ہی اشفاقؔ میں ٹوٹا ہوا کیوں ہوں
