اس آنکھ نہ اس دل سے نکالے ہوئے ہم ہیں
یوں ہے کہ ذرا خود کو سنبھالے ہوئے ہم ہیں
اس بزم میں اک جشن چراغاں ہے انہی سے
کچھ خواب جو پلکوں پہ اجالے ہوئے ہم ہیں
کچھ اور چمکتا ہے یہ دل جیسا ستارا
کن درد کی لہروں کے حوالے ہوئے ہم ہیں
دل ہے کہ کوئی فیصلہ کر ہی نہیں پاتا
اک موج تذبذب کے اچھالے ہوئے ہم ہیں
وہ ہو نہ سکا اپنا تو ہم ہو گئے اس کے
اس شخص کی مرضی ہی میں ڈھالے ہوئے ہم ہیں
اس مملکت لفظ و بیاں میں بھی تو اشفاقؔ
اک راہ الگ اپنی نکالے ہوئے ہم ہیں
