جب سے اپنے گھر کے بام و در سے نکلے ہیں
کیسے کیسے منظر پس منظر سے نکلے ہیں
نرم زمیں اور پانی کے محتاج نہیں ہیں ہم
ہم تو وہ کونپل ہیں جو پتھر سے نکلے ہیں
کوئی تو اپنے جیسا اپنے اندر ہے موجود
اپنی ذات کے باہر کس کے ڈر سے نکلے ہیں
شور کی چادر کے پیچھے ہے خاموشی کا رقص
سناٹے آوازوں کے پیکر سے نکلے ہیں
کس سے جنگ لڑیں گے کس کو فتح کریں گے ہم
دشمن کے ہتھیار خود اپنے گھر سے نکلے ہیں
نا مانوس فضاؤں کو اشفاقؔ نہ دو الزام
خوف کے جو بھی رستے ہیں اندر سے نکلے ہیں
