کسی گلی کسی چھت پر ضرور نکلے گا
وہ چاند ابر سے باہر ضرور نکلے گا
یہ حکمرانئ شب دیر تک نہیں ہوگی
کہیں سے مہر منور ضرور نکلے گا
اسی گرانیٔ شب کی دبیز چادر سے
نمود صبح کا منظر ضرور نکلے گا
خود اپنے آپ سے لڑنی پڑے گی جنگ ہمیں
دلوں سے خوف کا لشکر ضرور نکلے گا
یہ شہر شیشہ گراں ہے تو پھر یہیں پہ کہیں
کسی کی جیب سے پتھر ضرور نکلے گا
غبار دل زدگاں کو بہت حقیر نہ جان
یہ ایک حشر اٹھا کر ضرور نکلے گا
اسے خیال دل دوستاں اگر آیا
تو آنسوؤں کا سمندر ضرور نکلے گا
کریدتے رہو ویران بستیوں کی یہ راکھ
یہیں کہیں پہ مرا گھر ضرور نکلے گا
خموشیوں کی اسی سر زمین سے اشفاقؔ
کوئی نہ کوئی سخنور ضرور نکلے گا
