میں مشہور نہیں ہوں بھائی
بس اتنی عزت کافی ہے
جو میرے حصّے میں آئی
اور مجھے کیا لینا دینا
میں ہوں اور مری تنہائی
میں یوں ہی خاموش ہوں ورنہ
آتی تو ہے بزم آرائی
کون مجھے جل تھل رکھتا ہے
دریا یا اْس کی گہرائی
بولنا ہوگا اپنے حق میں
چپ رہنے میں ہے رسوائی
مذھب بیچ میں آجاتا ہے
عقل کرے کیا راہ نمائی
ساری عمر کا حاصل تھی وہ
لیکن پھر وہ شام نہ آئی
جس کے سب کردار تھے فرضی
وہی کہانی کیوں دہرائی
