اگر عاشق کوئی پیدا نہ ہوتا

تو معشوقوں کا یہ چرچا نہ ہوتا

گریباں چاک کر روتے کہاں ہم

اگر یہ دامن صحرا نہ ہوتا

سدا رہتی توقع بلبلوں کو

اگر یہ غنچۂ گل وا نہ ہوتا

جدائی میں اگر آنکھیں نہ روتیں

تو ہرگز راز دل افشا نہ ہوتا

فغاںؔ کون اب خریدار سخن تھا

اگر یہ حضرت سوداؔ نہ ہوتا

to mashuqon ka ye charcha na hota

gareban chaak kar rote kahan hum
agar ye daman-e-sahra na hota

sada rahti tawaqqo bulbulon ko
agar ye ghuncha-e-gul wa na hota

judai mein agar aankhen na rotin
to hargiz raaz-e-dil ifsha na hota
