فرصت نہیں تھی اتنی کہ پیروں سے باندھتے

ہم ہاتھ میں رکاب لیے بھاگتے رہے

تیزی سے بیتتے ہوئے لمحوں کے ساتھ ساتھ

جینے کا اک عذاب لیے بھاگتے رہے

کچھ زندگی کی وجہ سمجھ میں نہ آ سکی

سوچوں کا اک نصاب لیے بھاگتے رہے
