پروں میں دھوپ کے اک کالی رات رکھ لیتے

ہمیں خبر تھی زباں کھولتے ہی کیا ہوگا

کہاں کہاں مگر آنکھوں پہ ہاتھ رکھ لیتے

تمام جنگوں کا انجام میرے نام ہوا

تم اپنے حصے میں کوئی تو مات رکھ لیتے

کہا تھا تم سے کہ یہ راستہ بھی ٹھیک نہیں

کبھی تو قافلے والوں کی بات رکھ لیتے

یہ کیا کیا کہ سبھی کچھ گنوا کے بیٹھ گئے

بھرم تو بندۂ مولا صفات رکھ لیتے

میں بے وفا ہوں چلو یہ بھی مان لیتا ہوں

بھلے برے ہی سہی تجربات رکھ لیتے
