کس کی تلاش ہے ہمیں کس کے اثر میں ہیں

جب سے چلے ہیں گھر سے مسلسل سفر میں ہیں

سارے تماشے ختم ہوئے لوگ جا چکے

اک ہم ہی رہ گئے جو فریب سحر میں ہیں

ایسی تو کوئی خاص خطا بھی نہیں ہوئی

ہاں یہ سمجھ لیا تھا کہ ہم اپنے گھر میں ہیں

اب کے بہار دیکھیے کیا نقش چھوڑ جائے

آثار بادلوں کے نہ پتے شجر میں ہیں

تجھ سے بچھڑنا کوئی نیا حادثہ نہیں

ایسے ہزاروں قصے ہماری خبر میں ہیں

آشفتہؔ سب گمان دھرا رہ گیا یہاں

کہتے نہ تھے کہ خامیاں تیرے ہنر میں ہیں
