''وہ جھک کے زمیں پر

بغلوں میں دے کر ہاتھ ہماری

ہم کو اٹھاتا ہے

تاروں تک لاتا ہے

پھر ہاتھ ہٹا کر

ہم کو گرنے چھوڑتا ہے

سرد و تاریک خلاؤں میں

شاید اس کی یہ خواہش ہوتی ہے

ہم اپنے دونوں بازو لہرائیں

اور اوپر اٹھتے جائیں

حتی کہ

تنہائی کے ابد میں اس کے داخل ہوں

اور ہاتھ بڑھا کر

کانپتی پوروں سے اپنی

اس کے غمگیں چہرے کو چھو لیں''

baghlon mein de kar hath hamari
hum ko uThata hai
taron tak lata hai
phir hath haTa kar
hum ko girne chhoDta hai
sard o tarik KHalaon mein

shayad us ki ye KHwahish hoti hai
hum apne donon bazu lahraen
aur upar uThte jaen
hatta ki
tanhai ke abad mein us ke daKHil hon
aur hath baDha kar
kanpti poron se apni
us ke ghamgin chehre ko chhu len
