بکھرے بکھرے بال اور صورت کھوئی کھوئی

من گھائل کرتی ہیں آنکھیں روئی روئی

ملبے کے نیچے سے نکلا ماں کا لاشہ

اور ماں کی گودی میں بچی سوئی سوئی

ایک لرزتے پل میں بنجر ہو جاتی ہیں

آنکھوں میں خوابوں کی فصلیں بوئی بوئی

سرد ہوائیں شہروں شہروں چیخیں لائیں

مرہم مرہم خیمہ خیمہ لوئی لوئی

میں تو پہلے ہی سے بار لئے پھرتا ہوں

تن کے اندر اپنی جندڑی موئی موئی

جیون کا سیلاب امڈتا ہی آتا ہے

لیکن ڈھور ہزاروں بندہ کوئی کوئی

رات آکاش نے اتنے اشک بہائے اسلمؔ

ساری ہی دھرتی لگتی ہے دھوئی دھوئی
