خدا حافظ میں اب چلتا ہوں سوئے دشت تنہائی
روش بدلی نہ گل مہکے نہ نغمے ہیں نہ شہنائی
بڑا شہرا تھا گلشن میں بہار آئی بہار آئی
خوشا اعجاز الفت دفعتاً یہ کیسی یاد آئی
سر طور تخیل جیسے موج برق لہرائی
نہ ہرگز شکوۂ بیگانگی کرتا زمانے سے
جو ہوتا آشنائے لذت زخم شناسائی
کوئی سرگشتۂ رسم جنوں ہے نعرہ زن اطہرؔ
سر شہر خموشاں کیسی آواز اذاں آئی
