بہت دنوں میں کہیں راستے بدلتے تھے
عتیق اللہ
بہت دنوں میں کہیں راستے بدلتے تھے
وہ لوگ کیسے تھے جو ساتھ ساتھ چلتے تھے
وہ کارگہ نہ رہی اور نہ وہ سفال رہی
خدا کے دور میں کیا آدمی نکلتے تھے
ذرا سے رزق میں برکت بھی کتنی ہوتی تھی
اور اک چراغ سے کتنے چراغ جلتے تھے
گزارنے کی وہ صورت قیام خواب میں تھی
جہاں سے اور کئی راستے نکلتے تھے
فلک پہ اپنا بسیرا تھا اور ہم اکثر
فلک کے آخری کونے پہ جا نکلتے تھے

guzarne ki wo surat qayam-e-KHwab mein thi
jahan se aur kai raste nikalte the
falak pe apna basera tha aur hum aksar
falak ke aaKHiri kone pe ja nikalte the
