عتیق اللہ
جب بھی تنہائی کے احساس سے گھبراتا ہوں
میں ہر اک چیز میں تحلیل سا ہو جاتا ہوں
میں کسی جسم پہ پھینکا ہوا پتھر تو نہ تھا
بارہا اپنا لہو دیکھ کے شرماتا ہوں
رات جو کچھ مجھے دیتی ہے سحر سے پہلے
وقت کے گہرے سمندر میں اتار آتا ہوں
دن کے ہنگامے جلا دیتے ہیں مجھ کو ورنہ
صبح سے پہلے کئی مرتبہ مر جاتا ہوں
ایک نشے کی طرح ٹوٹ گیا ہوں خود سے
اپنے نزدیک بھی مشکل سے نظر آتا ہوں

bar-ha apna lahu dekh ke sharmata hun
raat jo kuchh mujhe deti hai sahar se pahle
waqt ke gahre samundar mein utar aata hun
din ke hangame jila dete hain mujh ko warna
subh se pahle kai martaba mar jata hun
ek nashshe ki tarah TuT gaya hun KHud se
apne nazdik bhi mushkil se nazar aata hun
