تمام شب کی دکھن، بے کلی، سبک خوابی

نمود صبح کو درماں سمجھ کے کاٹی ہے

رگوں میں دوڑتے پھرتے لہو کی ہر آہٹ

اجل گرفتہ خیالوں کو آس دیتی ہے

مگر وہ آنکھ جو سب دیکھتی ہے

ہنستی ہے

افق سے صبح کی پہلی کرن ابھرتی ہے

تمام رات کی فریاد اک سکوت میں چپ

تمام شب کی دکھن، بے کلی، سبک خوابی

حریری پردوں کی خاموش سلوٹوں میں گم

جو آنکھ زندہ تھی

خاموش چھت کو تکتی ہے

اور ایک آنکھ جو سب دیکھتی ہے

ہنسی

نمود صبح کی زرتار روشنی کے ساتھ

مہکتے پھول دریچے سے جھانک کر دیکھیں

تو میز در پہ کسی درد کا نشاں نہ ملے

اگالدان، دواؤں کی شیشیاں، پنکھا

کنواری ماں کا تبسم، صلیب آویزاں

ہر ایک چیز بدستور اپنی اپنی جگہ

نئے مریض کی آمد کا انتظار کرے

اور ایک آنکھ جو سب دیکھتی ہے

ہنستی رہے۔
