متاع فکر و نظر رہا ہوں
مثال خوشبو بکھر رہا ہوں
میں زندگانی کے معرکے میں
ہمیشہ زیر و زبر رہا ہوں
شفق ہوں سورج ہوں روشنی ہوں
صلیب غم پر ابھر رہا ہوں
سجاؤ رستے بچھاؤ کانٹے
کہ پا برہنہ گزر رہا ہوں
نہ زندگی ہے نہ موت ہے یہ
نہ جی رہا ہوں نہ مر رہا ہوں
جو میرے اندر چھپا ہوا ہے
اس آدمی سے بھی ڈر رہا ہوں
وہ میرے اپنے ہی غم تھے صابرؔ
کہ جن سے میں بے خبر رہا ہوں

na zindagi hai na maut hai ye
na ji raha hun na mar raha hun
jo mere andar chhupa hua hai
us aadmi se bhi Dar raha hun
wo mere apne hi gham the 'sabir'
ki jin se main be-KHabar raha hun
