دل کو رہین لذت درماں نہ کر سکے
اعظم چشتی
دل کو رہین لذت درماں نہ کر سکے
ہم ان سے بھی شکایت ہجراں نہ کر سکے
اس طرح پھونک میرا گلستان آرزو
پھر کوئی تیرے بعد اسے ویراں نہ کر سکے
مہنگی تھی اس قدر ترے جلووں کی روشنی
ہم اپنی ایک شام فروزاں نہ کر سکے
بچھڑے رہے تو اور بھی رسوا کریں گے لوگ
تم بھی علاج گردش دوراں نہ کر سکے
دل ان کے ہاتھ سے بھی گیا ہم سے بھی گیا
شاید وہ پاس خاطر مہماں نہ کر سکے
ان پر بھی آشکار ہو کیوں اپنے دل کا حال
ہم اس متاع درد کو ارزاں نہ کر سکے
اعظمؔ ہزار بار لٹے راہ عشق میں
لیکن کبھی شکایت دوراں نہ کر سکے

hum un se bhi shikayat-e-hijran na kar sake
is tarah phunk mera gulistan-e-arzu
phir koi tere baad ise viran na kar sake
mahngi thi is qadar tere jalwon ki raushni
hum apni ek sham firozan na kar sake
bichhDe rahe to aur bhi ruswa karenge log
tum bhi ilaj-e-gardish-e-dauran na kar sake
dil un ke hath se bhi gaya hum se bhi gaya
shayad wo pas-e-KHatir-e-mehman na kar sake
un par bhi aashkar ho kyun apne dil ka haal
hum is mata-e-dard ko arzan na kar sake
'azam' hazar bar luTe rah-e-ishq mein
lekin kabhi shikayat-e-dauran na kar sake
