آگ بھڑکی کہاں تھی کدھر لگ گئی
تھی خطا کس کی اور کس کے سر لگ گئی
دل دھڑکنے لگا مسکراتے ہوئے
میری خوشیوں کو کس کی نظر لگ گئی
اس چمن کے مقدر میں ہی آگ ہے
آج ادھر لگ گئی کل ادھر لگ گئی
بات تو آپ کے اور مرے بیچ تھی
پھر زمانے کو کیسے خبر لگ گئی
آپ اب جو بھی چاہیں وہ عنوان دیں
میری تصویر دیوار پر لگ گئی
میرے دامن پہ چشم کرم اے خدا
میں مسافر تھا گرد سفر لگ گئی
آگ تو آگ ہے آگ کی بات کیا
لاکھ دامن بچایا مگر لگ گئی
جیب و دامن سے محروم ہو جاؤ گے
چوٹ اگر میرے احساس پر لگ گئی
اے عزیزؔ ان کو احساس ہوتا نہیں
اور مری زندگی داؤ پر لگ گئی

meri KHushiyon ko kis ki nazar lag gai
is chaman ke muqaddar mein hi aag hai
aaj idhar lag gai kal udhar lag gai
baat to aap ke aur mere bich thi
phir zamane ko kaise KHabar lag gai
aap ab jo bhi chahen wo unwan den
meri taswir diwar par lag gai
mere daman pe chashm-e-karam ai KHuda
main musafir tha gard-e-safar lag gai
aag to aag hai aag ki baat kya
lakh daman bachaya magar lag gai
jeb-o-daman se mahrum ho jaoge
choT agar mere ehsas par lag gai
ai 'aziz' un ko ehsas hota nahin
aur meri zindagi dao par lag gai
