اپنے دکھ درد کا افسانہ بنا لایا ہوں

ایک اک زخم کو چہرے پہ سجا لایا ہوں

دیکھ چہرے کی عبارت کو کھرچنے کے لیے

اپنے ناخن ذرا کچھ اور بڑھا لایا ہوں

بے وفا لوٹ کے آ دیکھ مرا جذبۂ عشق

آنسوؤں سے تری تصویر بنا لایا ہوں

میں نے اک شہر ہمیشہ کے لیے چھوڑ دیا

لیکن اس شہر کو آنکھوں میں بسا لایا ہوں

اتنی غفلت کی بھی نیند اچھی نہیں ہوتی ہے

اے چراغو اٹھو دیکھو میں ضیا لایا ہوں
