وقت کے پاس کہاں سارے حوالے ہوں گے

زیب قرطاس فقط یاس کے ہالے ہوں گے

کھوجتا کیا ہے اندھیروں میں تفاہم کے دیے

آ چراغوں میں لہو ڈال اجالے ہوں گے

دشت میں جا کے ذرا دیکھ تو آئے کوئی

ذرے ذرے نے مرے اشک سنبھالے ہوں گے

یوں تو مقدور نہیں تجھ کو تری قسمت پر

ہاں مگر تو نے کئی سکے اچھالے ہوں گے

ہم تھے خوشبو کے خریدار مگر کیا معلوم

سرخ پھولوں نے یہاں سانپ بھی پالے ہوں گے
