اپنی دھن میں ہی جو چپ چاپ گزر جاتا ہوں

تم سمجھتے ہو بڑے شوق سے گھر جاتا ہوں

لے کے چل پڑتا ہے مجھ کو جو خیالات کا رتھ

جب ترے شہر میں پہنچے میں اتر جاتا ہوں

اپنے ہی درد کی انگلی سے لگا رہنے دے

میں غم دہر کی اس بھیڑ سے ڈر جاتا ہوں

کوئی کس طرح مرے جسم میں آجاتا ہے

میں بدن چھوڑ کے اپنا یہ کدھر جاتا ہوں

تم سمجھتے ہو کہ گھر لوٹ گیا ہے عزمی

میں تو ہر شب تری دہلیز پہ مرجاتا ہوں
